6 Days Tanzania Wildebeests Migration
A classic Tanzania wildebeest migration for everyone that can be experienced all year round. You will visit top safari parks and see wildlife up close from Lions, to Elephants, and Rhinos among others. If you come between July to October, you can also witness the annual wildebeest migration of herds in Kenya and Northern Tanzania, a spectacular wildlife event. The Great Wildebeest Migration is a movement of approximately 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra throughout the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems. Tanzania is a safari paradise with stunning scenery, abundant wildlife, and diverse cultures.
DURATION: 6 DAYS Tanzania wildebeest migration
Day 1: Arusha -Tarangire National Park
We leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park. This park covering approximately 2600 square kilometers is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, eland and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rains when they migrate again to good grazing areas.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
We head to Lake Manyara National Park, a safari paradise that provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park and famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers a remarkable game-viewing experience in Africa.
